Lord Saturn at the hands of Sri Hanuman

There is no one who has not heard of Lord Hanuman, a great and faithful devotee of Lord Rama.

Lord Saturn as per his duty goes round all the Rasis and people are afraid of this "Sade sathi" seven and half years of  terrific moments of life. Of course the nature of impact depends on the placement of planets in the birth chart of the individual..

As per the rules, when Saturn"s turn comes for big Rishis etc.. he is supposed to take permision  from the saints etc...

Accordingly the turn for Sri Hanuman came. As usual Saturn asked sri Hanuman's permission  that he will be riding onhim as per the turn. Saturn asked where he could get accomodated in his big body. Hanuman told him to sit on his head. Saturn was very happy that he is getting the head of a great saint ,an ardent devotee of Lord Rama,.... He sat on Hanuman's head. The moment he sat on him, Hanuman lifted a huge Rock (about the size of a hill) and place over the Saturn saying after all he (Hanuman) is going to carry the whole weight. But Saturn could not object as the entire weight including his and that of the Rock is managed by Hanuman.

But poor Saturn could not bear the pain as the rock is ove him. He immediately pleaded with Hanuman that the rock be lifted away  and assured that he would leave him for ever.!
That is why it is said that if we pray to hanuman daily , the effect of saturn cycle can be easily overcome.

The thirsty crow.

It was  aday during  hot summer. All the ponds ,lakes have dried up. The crow was feeling verythirsty. It flew from one place to the other in search of water. It got tired. Atlast it came and sat on a tree branch looking down to see whether any water is available any where nearby. Suddenly it noticed a mud pot in which there was some water . It flew down and sat on the pot. But the water was not reachable . The crow also noticed lot of pebbles nearby. Then an idea struck. the crow lifted the pebbles one by one throughits beak and dropped in the pot slowly. The water level in the pot slowly raised and soon reached a level that was reachable . the crow drunk the water and quenched its thirst.

What lesson do you learn from this story? "You have to use yourbrain and think as the situation warrants to overcome the hurdles. Always be a winner!

The Cap Vendor & the monkeys.

There was one street vendor selling caps. He used to bundle all the caps and carry them on his head ,moving place to place walking down all the way. One day afternoon he was feeling tired and wanted to rest for a while. He just lay down beneath a tree, keeping the bundle of caps under his head like a pillow. There were large no of monkeys on the tree.

The cap vendor was so tired he fell fast asleep with his cap on. The monkeys camedown the tree and snatched all the caps each wearing one on its head and went upthe tree sitting on the branches sporting the caps on their heads.

After a while the vendor woke up and found to his dismay that all the caps in the bundle were missing and he wasleft with one on his head only. He lookedup and sawthe monkeys having the caps on their heads and playing.

He grew angry and threw the only cap he washaving on the monkeys. The monkeys in turn got angry and threw thier caps down on the vendor . He happily collected allthe caps andbudnled them asusual and continuedhis journey.

The story tells howwe have touse the mind accordingto circumstances. Be wise!

The Value of Mom at home!-thought on Mother's day

Recently i saw one thought provoking article on the value of mom at home. It works out to more than 138000Us$ per annum. Yes. a mom at home has to take care of the kids., do cooking ,cleaning etc... These save the expenses of day care ,transportation's costs. this is in addition to her teaching children at home, and the parental affection she is able to extend the children for most part of the day. In fact she works overtime of every week without rest.
In fact it is observed that most of the children take the advice of MOM in all important matters.
There is nothing equal or parallel to MOm's warmth and affection!

In Hindu Vedic recitals, we will find "Mathru devo Bhava! Pithru devo Bhava ! Acharya Devo Bhava!" While paying obeisance ,first Mom (Mathru Devo) ,then Dad(Pithru ) ., then Teacher (Acharya ) then only Lord! so in all religions, Mom is the most revered .

Guru Bakthi.(Reverence to Teacher)

Hi!
Parents & Teachers are the most respectable as they only shape the future of all. It is always necessary to obey them. Without parents a child cannot grow. Without a teacher , there is no learning.
without learning , we will be in the wilderness/dark.

Unity is Strength.

Hi!

Here is another interesting story for you.

There was an old man who had six sons. They always used to quarrel with one another for any thing and everything. The old man got annoyed. Inspite of his repeated advices to them not to quarrel, they never listened to him. One day an idea struck his mind.

He called all his six sons and asked to bring one pair of sticks each. All of them brought one pair of sticks. He asked each one of them to take one stick at a time and break it. All of them broke the stick easily. They were eagerly expecting the next step, what it could be?

The old man asked the remaining stick with each one of them to place it on the floor. He asked one of his sons to tie all the six sticks to form a bundle. Now he asked each one of his sons to break the bundle containing the six sticks as a whole..

Each one of his sons tried but failed to break the bundle.

The old man told his sons,"Look, when the sticks got united you could not break them, but you could break a sing stick easily!" What is the secret behind it ?

The sons replied that the sticks were together, hence could not be broken.

The old man now asked them to understand the strength of Unity. All the sons held their heads down in shame for having quarreled with one another all these days. They all fell at the feet of their father, the old man and pledged that they will henceforth remain united. UNITY IS STRENGHT!
